At this critical moment at which the identification ofremains recovered from mass graves opened is underway andthe first families and society as a whole come face to facewith this 40-year old trauma, Turkish and Greek Cypriotrelatives of the Missing and other Victims of War cometogether with the common vision that their commonsuffering shall not continue to be exploited to enhancenationalism but that the common suffering shall serve asa catalyst for peace. At a time when the bi-communalnegotiations are at a critical stage and the prospect of asolution is once again coming at the forefront, the issuesregarding the Truth surrounding the events of 50 years ofbi-communal violence and the need for Reconciliation withinthe Cypriot society needs to be discussed.

-The Stories of the Missing and Massacred of 1963-1974 presented by the Turkish Cypriot investigative Journalist Sevgul Uludag, author of the book "Oysters with the missing pearls"
